work-the-web.com The first and only web site of its kind, work-the-web.com is the virtual assistance industry e-zine. Whether you're curious about virtual assistance, a veteran VA trying to stay on top of industry information, a client looking for a VA, or an industry leader wanting to offer your opinion — you'll find the reporting and resources you need as well as plenty of opportunities to make your own contributions.
Alliance for Virtual Businesses®

The Alliance for Virtual Businesses®, established in June 2003, is a collaborative teaming of virtual professionals and virtual assistant organizations dedicated to providing education about and promoting the virtual assistance industry.

The Alliance is the outgrowth of a simple question posted on a virtual assistant list-serv. The questioner wrote, "When I tell potential clients that I am a virtual assistant they say 'a what?' What can I do to educate businesses about virtual assisting?"

Understanding that the question represented a major obstacle for solopreneurs in this blossoming industry, we've formed the "Alliance", to introduce the world to our world of virtual assisting.

Client-related case studies, industry-related demographics, interviews, media kits, PowerPoint presentations, and a wealth of other types of information are available to facilitate learning about our industry. They invite you to peruse the web site, learn about Virtual Assistant member organizations and profiled virtual assistants, and visit industry web sites to experience the diversity of our profession.
